The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 Damian Lillard Special Edition has a sharper edge than a standard dressy steel watch. Black dial. Gold-tone bracelet. Gold-tone hands. The whole thing comes across like game-night luxury, the sort of watch that looks right under arena lights or across a dinner table later on. It has some swagger to it. And that swagger is clean.
The case shape does a lot of work here. That PRX tonneau profile always gives the watch a strong silhouette, and this version uses it well. At roughly 40mm across with a 10.9mm thickness, it wears with confidence and keeps a sleek line on the wrist. Brushed finishing across the case and bracelet gives the gold PVD a more controlled look, which helps a lot. Too much shine would have pushed it somewhere else. This one keeps its cool. Sapphire crystal over the dial adds that crisp top layer, and the transparent caseback gives enthusiasts a view of the Powermatic 80 inside.
Black and yellow gold always know how to work a room. That’s the hook here. The dial keeps the black deep, then the hands and markers hit with warmth. You read the time fast, then your eye hangs there for a second because the contrast looks so good. The date at 3 o’clock fits neatly into the layout. Minute markers around the outer rim tighten everything up and keep the face disciplined. It has a strong look, though it still feels polished enough for daily wear.
Inside, the Powermatic 80 automatic movement gives you around 80 hours of reserve. That’s a great match for a watch like this because it adds real convenience to all the style. Pick it up Friday night, leave it alone for a bit, come back to it later, and it’s still ready to go. That easy rhythm makes ownership a lot more fun.
The bracelet seals the whole thing. Yellow gold PVD over brushed steel gives the watch its identity right away, and the deployment clasp with push button and foldover keeps it secure. This special edition makes sense for collectors and enthusiasts who want a PRX with more personality and a look that feels tied to confidence and performance. It’s bold, though it’s smart about it.
