Movado Heritage

Movado, which translates to “always in motion” in Esperanto, was founded in Switzerland in 1881, but the company has since moved its headquarters to the United States under the guidance of Gedalio Grinberg, a cuban-born refugee. For a watchmaker with such a varied and colorful history, the watches themselves are masterworks in minimalist beauty, often featuring a signature metallic dot at 12 o’clock and designs that draw the eye with an almost magical force.
